Living as your most authentic self is a journey, but it’s one that starts with a single decision: the choice to show up as you. So many of us have spent years—sometimes even decades—living up to the expectations of others. But deep down, we know that living authentically is the key to true happiness and fulfillment. If you’re ready to embrace that journey, here are three powerful steps to help you start living as your most authentic self.
Step 1: Visualization – Get to Know Your Highest Self Through Meditation

The first step in becoming your most authentic self is getting to know her. It’s hard to show up as your true self if you don’t have a clear vision of who that is. This is where meditation and visualization come in.
Set aside a few minutes in a quiet space to meditate and visualize your highest, most authentic self. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and imagine her vividly. What does she look like? How does she carry herself? What are her daily habits, and how does she spend her time?

Now that you have a written-out vision of your highest self, it’s time for action. Start by identifying the easiest aspect of your dream life to implement into your current routine. Maybe your highest self prioritizes hydration, takes daily walks, or sets aside time for self-care. Choose one habit or practice that feels both achievable and aligned with the person you’re becoming.
Commit to integrating this one small change into your daily life. Do this consistently for a few weeks, and as you gain momentum, build on it. Once this new habit becomes second nature, choose something else—something slightly more challenging—and add that to your routine.
Every few weeks, continue this process of adding new habits and routines that align with your highest self. Over time, you’ll find that you’re not just visualizing or journaling about your authentic self—you’re actively living as her.
